(updated 3/10/2024) The Erg-A-Thon is our one and only spring season fundraiser and it’s quickly approaching! It will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Rock Ridge High School. $10,000(TBD) is our goal this year! As you know, we receive no financial support from the high school or from the county so a successful large event like this will alleviate the need for smaller fundraisers throughout the season.
What to do?
- Reach out to sponsors. Every rower’s goal is to raise $400 (that’s like asking 10 people to sponsor you for $40 or 20 people to sponsor you for $20). Think relatives, friends, neighbors, etc.
- Turn in a copy of the Erg-a-thon Sponsorship Roster to Coach Kat at the erg-a-thon. Donations do not have to be collected until AFTER the erg-a-thon, but they are due no later than April 7. The easiest way to collect the donations (tax-deductible!) is to refer sponsors to the Rock Ridge Crew website at rockridgecrew.com. Sponsors can also donate by check made payable to Rock Ridge Rowing or a cash donation. Online donations are preferred.
- Come to the Erg-a-thon on Saturday, April 4, 2023; 4:30pm – 6:30pm, at Rock Ridge High School. We will have a schedule of rowers taking turns on rowing machines and will row non-stop for 2 hours. It will be great fun! Invite friends and family to come out and learn about crew!
