About

Rock Ridge Crew is the student rowing team of Rock Ridge High School in Loudoun County, Virginia. Established in 2014, our program welcomes experienced rowers, novice athletes, parents, and sponsors to be part of a growing tradition of excellence both on and off the water.

The team is proudly supported by Rock Ridge Rowing, Inc., a parent-led booster organization and registered non-for-profit [501(c)(3)] dedicated to sustaining and growing rowing opportunities for Rock Ridge students.

To promote and develop amateur rowing as a sport at Rock Ridge High School and throughout Loudoun County.

Our Mission

For the team: Compete at the highest level and place 1st or 2nd in the VASRA States Competition.

For the parents: Provide the logistic and organizational support that allows our rowers to succeed – and create lasting memories along the way.


High School Rowing in VA

Rowing is a spring varsity sport in Virginia, organized as a Tier 3 program—meaning it is parent-led and self-funded. Athletes race over a competitive distance of 1,500 meters, with crews typically competing in boats of four or eight rowers plus a coxswain.

Rock Ridge Crew proudly competes as a member of the Virginia Scholastic Rowing Association (VASRA), joining schools across the state in fostering teamwork, discipline, and excellence on the water.
