Fund raising helps make up the difference between the dues and expenses per spring season. This year our fund raising goal is $13,000 and will go to our general fund. Funds will go toward items such as two new racing shells, oars, a safety launch outboard motor and the Algonkian dock site build out to name a few. Fund raising donations are tax deductible as Rock Ridge Rowing, Inc (the Rock Ridge Crew Boosters) has IRS 501c3 charitable status.

As a self-funded non-profit organization, we must rely on the financial support of individuals and sponsors to further our mission to promote and develop amateur rowing at Rock Ridge High School and in Loudoun County. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation. The following are the Corporate Sponsorship Levels are available.

For a tax deductible donation of $500.00, a name plate (with the name of your choice - this could be an individual or several names, a class/year, alumni or in memoriam) will be mounted inside the hull. At present rights are available on Ottenger, 8+ sweep boat and the 4+ sweep boat.
We have raised $500.00 towards our goal. Special thanks to Mr Vicente and Dr. Esther Matias for donating.
Hey Rock Ridge Rowers,
Get ready because we are launching our biggest fundraiser of the year for Rock Ridge Crew! Our friends and family letter campaign is a genius idea (thanks to Coach Fleury!) and has been successfully done in the past. This fundraiser will help toward each athlete's personal goal of $375 and rolls into our larger goal of $13,000 towards boats and rowing equipment during this Rock Ridge Crew season .
Will this fundraising letter really help towards our $13,000 goal?
YES. A letter writing campaign has been used as a fundraising opportunity by the Westfield HS Softball team. With 14 players, the softball team successfully raised over $5,000 with each player committing to provide 10 names and mailing addresses of their friends and family members. If THEY can do it, WE can do it too!
What do I do?
Provide me (Carmela Matias) with 10 names and mailing addresses of family and friends for possible sponsorship by e-mail this Sunday, November 13, 2016 at 8 pm. Start talking/e-mailing/texting to your friends and family members that they will be expecting a letter shortly from you asking for donation towards Rock Ridge Crew.
We've made it SUPER EASY for you by providing a letter (please see sample letter) to be mailed out. This letter, along with a self-addressed stamped envelope will be mailed out by me (Carmela) over the weekend. You do not need to mail out the letter. All I need are your 10 names and mailing addresses by this Sunday, November 13, 2016.
To make it personal, your signatures at the bottom of the type-written letter will be needed. Bailey & Carson Matias will get in touch with you soon about signing the letters by the end of this week.
If you have questions, please do not hesitate to call or email me. (communications.rrcrew@gmail.com)
Thanks!
Carmela
Thank you to all that have given.
